Ever since I was a little girl, I had dreams of being a Fashion Designer. I recently found a diary entry from 2003 that reads “in ten years I hope to become a famous or regular clothes designer” (spelling mistakes omitted for clarity, lol). I’m immensely proud and grateful that the spark for sewing is something I still hold bright to this day.

I was clearly always interested in fashion and garment construction, but it wasn’t until I was at MIAD in 2018 working on my BFA that I actually dipped my toes into sewing. I credit my first sewing teacher, Gianina, for much of my sewing knowledge, and would not be where I am today without her guidance and encouragement!

I’ve been up to a lot since that first sewing class, and this is where I’d love to show my work off to the world. lmn.made is something that came to me thanks to my husband, Josh. When we first met, he added my contact info in his phone as “Liz Lemon” (any 30 Rock fans in the house?), and has remained that way in the 7+ years since. And when my first sewing project at MIAD was a stuffed felt lemon…it just felt too perfect not to call myself lmn.made 🍋
